This past weekend the XXII Exhibition-Painting Contest was held on Passeig Sant Joan in Barcelona.
With a hundred artists exhibiting from Indústria Street to Diagonal. Four sections of Passeig St Joan full of works of art.
And among them one of ours!
As you well know, at SRC Gracia, we have an activity called “ART DEL FIL” and it is from this, the painting that we were invited to exhibit. Thanks to the fact that Mr. Guijarro is a member of one of the neighborhood organitzations in the Gracia neighborhood and promotes collaboration with community organitzations.
We thank him once again for his collaboration with our users and, above all, for teaching us this curious artistic technique and inviting us to exhibit one of the paintings we make at the center.
Our users did so well that they gave us a diploma!
And what is ART DEL FIL?
This activity works on fine motor skills, muscle tone and visuospatial coordination of users with severe mental disordes. From small pieces made with thread, meticulously glued together and made with wooden tools created by Mr.Guijarro, beautiful mosaics of differents colors and themes are created.
